12 Apr SOUP business event returns to Somerset
TDA is excited to announce our second Somerset SOUP event following the success of the first one in Taunton last year. This year we’re bringing this great event to Glastonbury!
SOUP is a crowd funding event that brings people together to raise small-scale investment to kick-start new businesses or ideas.
As well as managing Somerset Enterprise Centres in Barle, Frome, Wheddon Cross, Highbridge and Minehead, TDA are thrilled to be working across the county, providing support and advice to both start-up and growing Somerset businesses.
Ges Green, Somerset Enterprise Centres Manager, said: “SOUP events are a fantastic opportunity to network whilst supporting new enterprise. The concept is great and it gives new businesses the opportunity to raise funds to launch their business idea.
“We are looking for entrepreneurs to come forward, pitch their business idea and win a fantastic package including cash, business support and promotional opportunities. The reward up for grabs will give the entrepreneur and their business every chance of success.”
The winning business will receive a package of business support and advice, provided through one to one business support and mentoring, and access to a range of workshops and events. In addition to this, the winner will be able to access incubation space in any of the Somerset Enterprise Centres (where available), free of charge for 12 months, to help them develop their business and raise their profile.
The event takes place on 27 September, 5-6:30pm at The Red Brick Building, Glastonbury.
If you’re interested in pitching your business idea at SOUP or would like to come along to the event, visit www.somerset-enterprise-centres.co.uk/soup where you can apply.
